I'm an unemployed architect in Chicago and want to be involved in rethinking and redesigning our prisons. What advice can you give me?

The most effective assistance with overcrowding and increased costs would be a rational restructuring of the sentencing laws. Primarily, not incarcerating so many non-violent offenders. "Do you support a restructuring of sentencing such that fewer non-violent offenders will be incarcerated?"
