I'm look for some suggestions on some books that deal with inmate manipulation of staff, particularly Correctional Officers. I viewed a power point from the "shared files" section but was looking for something more substantial. Any online resources would be of great help also. Sayjack

Hello, I am an ex correction officer from Georgia and MIchigan. My pastor has put me in charge of forming our correctional outreach ministry. We are in the infant stages of forming the ministry and I am looking for training material to train our future volunteers on inmate manipulation and similiar topics...

Handcuffed individuals are not under complete control my any means. The administrators who terminated those officers are wrong to do so and jeopardize the safety of other officers by sending a message to the inmates that once cuffed, they can do anything they want without getting sprayed.

Do correctional officers who work directly and regularly with moderately to severely mentally inmates experience higher levels of burnout, depression or anxiety than correctional officers who do not work with moderately to severely mentally ill?
