Newest BJS Report Now Available - Prisoners in 2007

The new report, Prisoners in 2007, has been released by the Bureau of Justice Statistics. As always, this is the report to access for the most current prison population statistics. You will find numerous tables and grafts pertaining to the 1,598,316 prisoners under state and federal jurisdiction.

If you have the ACA 2007 Directory of Adult and Juvenile Correctional Departments, it lists the numbers of adult facilities and centers by state on pages 28-29. The directory is copyrighted, so I can't give you the pages. Please contact ACA http://www.aca.org
