Report of Abuse Spam being generated from Corrections Community

Hello: My inbox is being receiving spam every few minutes that appears to be generated from the corrections community. It has to do with the sale of prescription drugs on-line. I have tried to unsubscirbie but cannot get it to stop. Can you assist? Thank you Rick Mroz

When I attempt to access the pdf file "Pre-Release Re-Entry Program Offender Handbook" it links directly to the INDOC site.

I am seriously confused by the change in the website. We frequently forward the NICIC.org address to stakeholders who are in search of publications on jails and community corrections. I hate the multi-level search feature and the "topic area" with topics in different sized fonts "floating" in the box is just HORRIBLE! I know what I'm looking for and can't find it. Lord help some county commissioner who starts out not having a clue. I'm likely to start calling and requsting hard copies through the mail rather than try to find and download.

Thanks for your response.

We are looking at officer.com's forum setup and I see the section that I believe you are referring to, "Local Discussion Groups".

We are currently making an effort to create our topical based forums (Offender Employment, Women Offenders, etc) but we are open to the idea of also creating regional-based forums. Are there specific reasons why you might prefer regional over topical forums?

What other things about officer.com's site do you like or don't like? I like that they have a "Lounge" type forum where folks can just hang out and discuss sports, movies or whatever. I am part of several communities that have similar forums and I like the idea of having a place to joke around with like-minded folks.
