  • Re: Old School or new times and changes coming?

Has there been anyone new to this profession who wasn't cocky or arrougant? We all have growing pains in this profession even those who come in on a so called power trip. • Re: Computers and Inmate Records

We scan our paperwork and attached it to their file as well. It is a great tool to use, with all your information in one place all you have to do is pull up that inmate on the computer and all their information is right their. I don't think we will ever be able to go completely paperless, but every little bit helps.

  • Re: Merit Pay Research

As long as all of their evaluations are fair and unbiased it is a great tool to bring the under performers up to speed when they see that it can cost them money. But it has to be an unbiased eval not based on freindship or popularity or it will never work.

  • Re: New Hire (Civilian Staff) Needs Recommendations

Look for any book that you can to study criminal manipulation. That will be your biggest issue. They will test the waters with you to see what they can get from you and how much they can get away with.
