One of the problems we had was at night during counts. We had to verify "living, breathing flesh" but since many of the inmates used ear plugs it was hard to wake them up without touching them or pulling on the sheets to make sure they were still present and alive.

Can anyone discuss how they communication information to doctors offices and other transport location about not giving the information out to the public. -Thanks

are you able to n/a this standard? we had 3 under 18 during the audit cycle (they were adjudicated as adults) and the auditors let use take a n/a. Otherwise it pretty difficult for an adult facility.

Does anyone have any examples of Welcome Books for there facility? I am looking at creating one for when we have VIP's and auditors to help orient them to our facility and highlight our best practices.

Also good to note. ACA defines access to natural light as "The capability to distinguish day from night." So the cell does not have to have a natural light window built in as long as they can look out of their cell and see natural light. The systems is really called Offender Management Systems. The company is Digital Solutions/Inmate Telephone Inc.and the website is www.dsicdi.com. This program is ran through Citrix and uses crystal reports. I personally preferred the ACIS(Army Correctional Information Systems) which was built by ACER. Its totally web based. Hope this helps
