In our jail the arrested our arraigned within the 24 hour period by a judge on the weekend they are arriagn by a dutyies our our city Officers !!!

I think that it would better to make your 5 yr. vetterns the better Cpls. !!

In our jail the imates pay for the phone cards out of there commissory accounts , for so many minutes !!!

In Texas it is 6 weeks pre service training , 3 weeks OJT training , 1 week with a mentor on the unit !!

I also work in the State of Texas prison systems we have in our unit about 40 posts in the unit with 5 extra officers to do what our Searcher Desk Officer needs done ,we work in 12 hrs shifts 4 shifts. We have a 1B and a 2B card, and so no and so forth for the A cards . Works out real good !!!

In the Jial we have 100 male inmates for 2 officers and 1 Cpl. which works out good !!

I find that is good to work 12 hrs. days 4 on , and 4 off ! We work this in our state prisons , and it works well !!

I'm in Texas and our ratio is 1 per 48 inmates in our county Jial , and 1 per. 100 in  our state prisons.
