Our FTO's receive an additional $1.00 an hour while they are assigned a trainee.  In addition, I allow them up to 1 hour of overtime a day.  The overtime is used to prepare the day's activities or to complete the daily observation reports.

The Ohio case also revolved around the acceptance of federal funds in our State jail system.  Since you are a County Jail, the law may not apply to you.  Again, your legal counsel can give you better advice. Bill McGee
