The National Institute of Corrections will host a live three-hour satellite videoconference, The Mentally Ill in Jail: Whose Problem is it Anyway?, on July 15, 2009. See the flyer, read more, and complete the free registration.  Mental health issues affect the entire community and anyone interested in this topic is welcome to participate.

Sandy, I am working on HB 2078, direction by the Washington State Legislature to develop/recommend a screening to for jail inmates who may qualify as developmentally disabled. We have research and information from NIJ, and are looking to see if a DVD is available of the recent internet broadcast on the mentally ill in jails?
