From my 35+ years experience in working with computer related data, a PDF file that states it is corrupt or damaged is usually caused by the PDF creation of the application that created it. Many times, files are transferred to file servers and the file is assumed to be in good condition.
More than likely, a request to the Help desk to get the file replaced will correct the problem but it might take a few days for someone to track down the owner of the file so that a new file can be created.
If you send me a link to the file, I will try my luck as well to ensure that the error can be duplicated.
