I am looking to assist a client with an expungement, which will allow him to regain his realestate liscense. I am having difficulty accessing forms from Broward County , Florida. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I am familiar with the surrounding counties in Kansas, but I am at a loss with this- I would be happy to share information with others as well.

    Thanks

    Maia

Here in the state of New Jersey, formas can be aobtained on the internet at the at the Judicial website. I refer my students to the local legal aid office. They have eager young attorneys that want experience. There is a lot of advice for ex-offenders at my blog: http://helpforexoffenders.wordpress.com

We have been up and running as a organization for two years but started this work in 2002. In 2 years we have recieved over 19,000 hits on our wedsite and have assisted many participants who have moved on to get their record cleared. We even try to provide info about other states if there is any. All of our services are free. We also help champion an ordinace in Norwich, Ct which was passed Dec 1st. Applications for municipal jobs will remove the box that you have to check if you have a record and will do the background check when the applicant is otherwised deemd qualified. It is named the " Beyond The Box" Ordinance. It passed unanimously and one of the sponsors of this ordinance is a Corrections Officer. Assuming you have of copy of his criminal record you can use this state by state criminal record expungement eligibility check to see. Just answer some questions then it will tell you and it doesn't cost anything.
