The Wyoming Department of Corrections has facilitated T4C classes for several years now dating back to 2001-2002.  We have participated in advanced training of trainers and approximately 70% of our Probation and Parole agents are trained facilitators.  We have formed a cognitive behavior team which consists of Master Trainers and have developed a comprehensive cog manual to use as a guide for questions regarding cognitive behavior.  We are now moving into two new areas, quality assurance and aftercare, and would love staff feedback from agencies who have already expanded into these areas.  Can you please share information or provide a contact number where I could reach you to visit about your experiences.  I look forward to the possibility of networking these issues.  Thanks

Have you already looked at the NIC training on sustaining programs?  We did an entire piece in there on quality assurance....as for aftercare, several people have discussed writing sections but I'm not sure if anyone has, I'd be interested to hear too.  In the meantime, you might consider continuing problem solving and/or thinking reports to address issues offenders have as they come up.  You might also consider talking with Charles Robinson and/or Brad Marshall in Dallas, as they had worked previously on a draft for aftercare classes - Charles' email can be found on the training request posting, though he may read this and respond directly....feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance on the QA part at Melissa_Cahill@moep.uscourts.gov

    Hello Robert...

If you are still working on expanding your program with an aftercare component, please give me a call.  I have some suggestions you might find helpful.  Thanks
