I am a graduate student at Temple University, and I'm working with a small group of students to better understand how prison/jail commissaries work. We wish to know:
- How friends and families of inmates send inmates money/gifts;
- How the commissary system works within jails and prisons;
- What inmates typically buy;
- What inmates wish they could buy;
- The ways in which commissaries fail to provide inmates with what they need make their lives more confortable.
If you currently work in a prison, or if you have a friend or loved one that is currently or has recently been imprisoned, could you please take the time to fill out this anonymous survey?
