At this time I am unaware of anyone on the west coast delivering this program. I would suggest you contact NIC directly, they may be able to help you identify someone. thanks Louise

Can anyone tell me who to contact in the state of Texas for "Thinking for a Change" facilitator training? I need to find somewhere to attend and the closer the better, but I have not identified a training provider in Texas.

    Paul,

I know Dallas County has had tremendous success with T4C, they might be a promising resource for you.

    Good luck,

    Paul,

Dallas County Probation  has been a big and successful user of the T4C program.  Both of my contacts from that agency have moved on to different jobs in different states, so I can not give you a current lead on whom to contact, but, I am sure if you call their offices in Dallas someone can direct you to the correct individual.  I do know that Tarrant County Probation has also used the program.  Someone from there, Cynthia Williams, cwilliams@tarrantcounty.com, may be able to tell you what is going on.  She is qualified to train.  I know she was tied in with the Dallas group doing some training around the state at one time-- I believe.  At one point, the CJAD unit out of Austin was equipped to train staff and I believe were doing so.  My primary contact with that group has also moved on, but, you may want to try them?

Hope this gives you some leads.  Sorry, I could not be more specific.

Paul, just to confirm previous response. CJAD does provided annual training on T4C. I have participated in that training twice in the past five years and highly recommend it. Raymond Cruthis BA, LCDC, CCJP. Senior Counselor Central Texas Treatment Center Granger Texas

Thank you for your informative reply about training providers and leads for training in Texas. I wished I learned of this web site sooner. I will post actual information as to who to contact as soon as I get the information for providers in Texas. Thank you all again. Paul
