Unleash Your Leadership Competency Potential
A Distance Learning Event: Blending Synchronous Facilitation using WebEx, Asynchronous E-Learning and Independent Study Three 2-hour sessions:April 7, 2008April 14, 2008April 21, 20082:00 PM – 4:00 PM EST Description Today’s correctional leader must be equipped with a full range of leadership and management skills and behaviors that enable them to effectively lead staff in achieving their agency’s mandated mission while moving toward a desired future. This training experience will provide the leader with a blueprint of their leadership competency potential including a self-assessment/self-awareness profile, learning interventions and action planning steps for their development in at least one leadership competency/skill area. Through active participation in a blended combination of on-line synchronous facilitated training sessions, independent e-learning courses provided through the NIC Learning Center and independent study, leaders will be able to practice and implement new leadership behaviors with their staffs. Who Should Attend Mid-level leaders and managers from any correctional services agency including prisons, jails and community corrections whose overall responsibility includes the oversight and management of the day-to-day operations. Application Requirements Registration for the training program must be done online by going to the following link, https://nic.webex.com You can find the program by its title (Unleash Your Leadership Competency Potential) and by selecting the appropriate date of the program using the calendar function, or any one of the appropriate dropdown TABs (i.e. Upcoming). You will then need to click the registration button for the appropriate training title and date, and follow the instructions to fill in the required data fields. Your application will be submitted for approval by the sponsoring RFC, Jill C. Fluck, Director, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Training Academy. Once you have been approved for the program, you will receive an email notification of your approval status and instructions for accessing the training program. Registrations will be accepted until April 1, 2008, and will be considered on a first come, first served basis. Space will be limited to the first 25 to register and be accepted.
