    Hi

I was reading the 2006 Annual Report for the CCA (Corrections Corp of America) and came over their inmate management system, IMS-2 or IMS/2.

It caught my interest and I tried to look it up on Google without no luck.

Does anybody have any information about IMS/2 or know if CCA developed the system itself? If not, I'm curious about which company developed it for them.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

The systems is really called Offender Management Systems. The company is Digital Solutions/Inmate Telephone Inc.and the website is www.dsicdi.com. This program is ran through Citrix and uses crystal reports. I personally preferred the ACIS(Army Correctional Information Systems) which was built by ACER. Its totally web based.

    Hope this helps

    Hello today,

The IMS/2 system is a wonderful system. It really helps looking up inmate information. It is great to find their level, housing assignment, visitors etc. The draw back is though when an inmate comes in on the weekend on something of that nature it is a day or two before they may appear in the IMS/2 System. Also an inmate may get a level and not have it updated right away, sometimes causing some confusion. All and all it is a great system. I love working with it.
