I am new to this site and am an IT person for our organization.  Staff are considering hosting the broadcast on the 25th via the internet.  I cannot find where on your site you list what helper applications we'll need and what specs the PC should be.  Can you tell where I can obtain this information?

 If you go to our website...www.nicic.org/broadcasts...you will see a box on the right side for site coordinators/facilitators.  Listed below is information and instructions for coordinating and facilitating our broadcasts.  It would also be helpful to download the facilitator's guide.  This guide contains a lot of great information you will need.  If you still have additional questions after you review the following information, feel free to contact me.

The specs for your computer to view the broadcast are minimal.  You need a Windows or a Mac with either Windows Medial Player or RealONE player.   Both are free.  Media Player comes with Windows but, both programs can be downloaded for free.

You can test your settings by viewing a past broadcast.  Here is the link to some programs that we are still streaming.  If you can view these programs, you should have no problem viewing the live broadcast.

I'm hosting a training for the first time. Based on the responses here, it sounds like any computer/laptop with Internet access can be used to stream your trainnig programs. Is this case for the Workforce Development for Women Ex-Offenders broadcast this week? What are the benefits to using Satellite rather than Internet? Finally, are there any recommended specs for those using Internet?
