I am looking for developed lesson plans and curriculum for Motivational Interviewing Refresher training. I will be doing a two-part series.  The first half- day training will focus on the OARS and skill development. The second half-day training will focus on elliticing change talk and the stages of change model.

I am also looking for fun, short MI training related activities that can be done once a month with staff trained in MI to help refresh skills and reinforce learning.  Or, if you have any short role-play videos showing good use of skills that your willing to share, I'd love to see those.

I appreciate any help you can send my way.  Thanks.

    Note:

NIC has a new monograph "A Guide for Probation & Parole: Motivating Offenders to Change"  which is a very good resource for motivational interviewing which may assist you in curriculum development

This is available directly as a download from the NICpage:  http://nicic.org/Downloads/PDF/Library/022253.pdf

Why not try the SAMSHA government web site. There may be a TIP OR TAP on the subject you are interested. I know there is one TIP on Movational Interviewing based on Prochaska and DiClemente. www.samhsa.gov Bill Newell MA,CAP rehabbill@hotmail.com
