Corrections Community

I am interested in establishing a new program that has never been done before. I need to know how to do it. I currently work in a unit that uses inmate tutor to self teach. Life skills, like mentoring, how to deal with relapsing, making wrong choices, understanding their past mistakes and taking steps toward a better direction.

The problem is no funding, everything that is done is inmate sponsored. it has worked very well, and has helped  with self-esteem issues.

 

Have you tried to get volunteers interested. At the center I supervise we use about 100 volunteers all in different ways.
