Hi - I live in western Massachusetts.  There are a group of 20 women who are collaborating with me to create an intentional community that will provide accomodations for women leaving prison who need a place to go.  Our intention is to develop a safe community where women can come and do some or all of the following:

    •  start/continue a 12-Step recovery program
    • have their basic needs met, food, shelter, clothing
    • continue their education (if needed) GED, college courses
    • learn other skills
      • computer training
      •  auto mechanics
      • carpentry
      • farming
      • landscaping
      • animal husbandry
      • etc.
    • explore spiritual development
    • reunite with families
    • etc

I am looking for others who have experience in developing a community such as this so that we can learn from you.  I'd also like to share ideas and experineces on what works and what doesn't as we move forward with this.

    Thank you, Cate
