I was wondering if anyone has a measurement tool that they utilize to gauge the proficiency level of the T4C Facilitators.  My agency is a Community Corrections agency and we currently run T4C classes at 5 different facilities.  We have a Quality Assurance process in place, however, we are looking for something that is standardized to rank facilitators on their proficiency level.  Right now we categorize our staff into either Extremely Proficient, Proficient or Needs More Training.  A facilitator needs to be in the Extremely Proficient category to facilitate alone and then if someone is only ranked as Proficient we try to pair them up with someone who is Extremely Proficient to co-facilitate with.  However, who goes where is more based on "gut feeling" and intuition rather than a set of skills or criteria that the facilitator needs to meet.  So we want a measurement tool that would help us as well as facilitators know exactly where they stand and what they need to improve on to become Extremely Proficient.  Any information that you may have will be helpful even if it is only a Quality Assurance type evaluation because there may be skills that we should be looking for but we are not.  Thanks.

I would recommend the Group Process Inventory available at http://www.j-sat.com/ - it is a pretty comprehensive tool that covers all aspects of a cognitive-behavioral treatment group.  I have not used their software program but it sounds like it would be great.  We used a cut-off of 70% for competency in our agency, but my understanding is that j-sat now has norms that you can use.  Melissa
