Avoiding Your Day in Court -- Addressing Training Liability Through Defensible Strategies

Published Jun 03 2008, 08:57 AM by jgustfsn
Filed under: ,

Liability issues related to correctional training programs are discussed in this on line program, originally presented at the International Association of Correctional Training Personnel's 21st Annual Trainers' Conference, and at the National Partnership for Juvenile Services' 11th Joint Conference.

Readers will be able to:

  • Analyze training programs to determine if they are legally defensible;
  • Determine the need to acquire copyright permission for material used;
  • Identify alternative delivery strategies applicable to a particular setting;
  • Apply the elements of a good documentation system to their agency; and
  • Analyze their current system and develop a plan to correct any deficiencies.

The ZIP File also includes pertinent forms and handouts.
