In a new Special Report, the Bureau of Justice Statistics presents data regarding Parents in Prison and Their Minor Children from a number of perspectives.  Characteristics covered in the report include growth in the number of parents held in state and federal prisons, age of minor children, status of households prior to arrest, and incarceration of other family members of parents.
