Reentry Presentation at the International Corrections and Prison Association

During the week of October 21-27, 2006, the International Corrections and Prison Association is holding a conference in Vancouver, Canada.  Check out the program guide for this conference here.  A special track at the conference, Reentry: The Challenge of 21st Century Corrections, is being sponsored by the International Association of Reentry (IAR).  I will be be presenting there, along with other IAR representatives.  See my power point slides attached in the file below and watch for my highlights of the conference when I return in a week!

Sorry to learn about the ICPA Conference only this evening.  I'm presently a student at the National Defense University in Washington, DC and would like to learn more about Prison Radicalization.  The presentation by Orit Adato from Israel on Correction Systems Coping with Terrorists, Leadership and Extremism Recruitment is most interesting to me.  Any additional information or insights into this topic would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

Sking and Jeffhardy: the Conference was attended by over 50 countries; the International Corrections and Prison website is down today, but am sure many presentations will be loaded on their website eventually; I'll do an update for everyone soon. Jeff, send me an email at pritchie@nicic.org and I can send you some references on Prison Radicalization. Orit's presentations on prisoners/terrorists in prison was exceptional and I hope her slides get posted. They really have done their homework/research on the unique attributes of terrorists in prison settings. More later, peg  PS:

Thanks to you both for responding to our blog-
