Over 39,000 Foreign Nationals Are Housed in US Prisons: What are the costs? Language Barriers? Consular Notification Processes?

The Corrections Compendium published a national survey on Foreign Inmates in March/April  of 2006. Thirty-six (36) systems and four (4) Canadian systems responded. The survey includes costs, policy directives to work with foreign populations, language barriers, and release information. This document is published by ACA.
