The second report to Congress summarizing the activities of Federal and State agencies in curtailing prison rape and promoting community safety is now available. This report contains information on and the background of the Prison Rape Elimination Act (Public Law 108-79), significant accomplishments, research on sexual violence in corrections, grants, technical assistance, and training and education activities conducted pursuant to this act.
