Sexual Violence in the Texas Prison System, by well known authors James Austin, Tony Fabelo, Angela Gunter, and Ken McGinnis, has just been posted by NCJRS as an NIJ grant product. The report "was designed to provide comprehensive assessment of nearly 2,000
officially reported sexual assaults that occurred in the Texas prison systems between 2002 and 2005." It looks at victim and perpetrator attributes, time and location of events, and the influence of the prison environment on prison violence, offering recommendations applicable to other correctional systems, as well as Texas.
