Give a grace period. Employers should still have the right to ask the question about conviction but it should be a time period. 15yrs grace period or 20yrs.

If a person has done the time for a crime then that should be enough.

If the individual is a parolee or probationer, they have obligations to fulfill, and most exoffenders would rather find employment, pay their bills, care for their families, and lay low. Felony Disenfranchisement Law has hurt this nation substanially and financially yet it continues to subsist. The very ones being rejected are most likely the best performers/producers the company could ever know but are consistantly rejected.

I have been home since 2007 - I did have one job but after a year and 1/2 had to quit due to shady business practices by my employer. Half way through my employment I enrolled into college and have been there more than a year. I've done many job applications but have always been past over with no explanation but one - My felony record (which has nothing to do with my line of work and is not drug related)
