Good morning

At St. Stephens in Minneapolis, Mn, we find it difficult to locate housing, for the re entring offenders without employment, yet they need a place to live until that first position, and we have what's called Emergency Assistance which will pay up to 800 dollars towards their rent/deposit if they can demonstrate they can maintain the rent. In this regard I would suggest/offer our services to do a workshop on how to house dischargees with or without incomes.

Peace be with you

Hello, I know this is a late submission but I think this ought to be addressed.  I am a registered sex offender, and before I was arrested I was a financial compliance officer.  Now that I am a felon I am disqualified from being a compliance officer.

The intention of the Securities Act of 1934, was to ensure that felons that posed a risk to investors or the marketplace would be prohibited from joining the industry.  My question is first, how many other professions requiring licenses ban felons from working in that particular industry?  Secondly, how does banning a person from that particular license protect the community.  I can understand why I can't be a teacher, but why shouldn't I be able to do something that does not involve minors?
