I found the numbers to be alarming. We all knew it was bad, but this was a bit much. When I go to the prisons it looks bad but to actually see these numbers it letts know that we have got to get a better grip on our young kids. I have been telling people for sometimenow that getting fathers back in the childrens lives is a very large part of bringing about change.

Getting Fathers(and Mothers)back in kids lives will certainly help but it goes beyond that. Kids must be raised with values and brought up to have feelings and share them. Of course they must be treated responsibly but they should also be taught to respect others and earn their way rather than take from others. You may thing in your way as we all have a right to do, but I feel that our Lord must also be in the equation and at the top of the list! Next time you look at your children- see if the 'Game Boy' or computer screen is filled with some game that depicts one faction blasting another away in a plotless script. Of course the kids do not feel the pain that should be reflected by the screen action so it is only natural that they suffer no consequence of action when play becomes reality! We have allowed our society to become complacent and degrading. What else can our kids believe in if we do not show them...
