The National Institute of Corrections is seeking applications from strategic planners for evidence-based, offender risk reduction efforts in four Southern California county probation departments. Through a cooperative agreement, the services would include agency orientations, organizational assessments, inventory of agency risk assessment tools, review of data collection and analysis systems, and establishment of a planning process and documentation framework. (Learn more about NIC's project to Reduce Offender Risks.) The project would be coordinated with NIC's Community Corrections Division and completed within a nine-month period. The application deadline is June 2, 2009. The full solicitation and application information is posted on Grants.gov. Link here for more information regarding NIC's Cooperative Agreements.
