The National Institute of Corrections will be conducting a live training event January 29-31, 2008 called Public and Media Relations Training: Taking Control of Your Message.  This live 22-hour training program encompasses a "blended learning" approach using onsite classroom-based course facilitation and live instruction via satellite/Internet.

• Write a news release that gets attention.
• Present your case to the public.
• Execute crisis communication plans during an emergency.
• Identify and use interviewing skills.
• Utilize strategies for communicating effectively.

In order to receive a free copy of the prerequisite video for this training, you must register for the program.  Registration is free and everyone who registers will be accepted for the training.  You must register by January 8th, 2008.
