Less Than Lethal Technology

A dynamic website Less-Lethal.org was created by the Less Lethal Technology Working Group (LLTWG) with great resources on this "hot topic".  This group includes the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), the Major City Police Chiefs Association, the National Sheriffs Association (NSA), the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF), the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Montgomery County Police, Maryland, the Police Foundation, and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE).

The side panels on this site provide users with resources including, but not limited to: medical research and findings, agency policies, legislation, litigation, and legal perspectives. Less than lethal technology continues to be a topic of interest among the National Institute of Corrections Large Jail Network, and the Winter 2006 meeting included presentations and discussions on the use of tasers.
