Staying Current In the Community - Part 2: Using "Favorites"

In this series, you will learn how to organize and keep track of new information as it becomes available in the Community.  While you can always come to the web site and browse for new information, there are other ways to stay up to date.

Part 2: Using "Favorites"

Throughout the Community, you will notice a button for "Favorites".  If you click on this button, you will have the option to add a member, post or forum to your favorites.

Favorites are like bookmarks but better.  If you want to keep track of new posts from a particular member, add them as a favorite and you can quickly be notified and view all of their new posts.  If there is a particular thread or forum that you like, add it to your favorites for easy access.

You can access your favorites by clicking on your screen name to access your profile.  Your screen name is located in the upper right-hand corner of the page.  It should say something like, "Welcome [your name]!"  Once you are in your profile, click on the Favorites tab and you will see all of your Favorites.

Advanced Options:  You can share your Favorites so that other members can access them by clicking on your name.  This is optional.

Next Time: In Part 3 of the series, we will learn how to use "Syndication" to pull new information directly to you.
